Daniel R Gorin, MD, RVT, FACS

Dr. Gorin attended medical school and did his general surgery residency at the University of Connecticut. He went on to do a two-year fellowship in vascular surgery at Boston University Medical Center, and is board certified in both general surgery and vascular surgery. He is also certified by the American Board of Phlebology as a specialist in the treatment of venous disease.  During his vascular surgery fellowship, Dr. Gorin did research in venous disease, and he pioneered modern, minimally invasive vein care in Massachusetts. Dr Gorin performed the first VNUS closure procedure in Massachusetts, (the second in New England) and has personally performed thousands of minimally invasive venous procedures. He serves as a clinical instructor for the VNUS Closure/Venefit procedure, and has been a faculty member at multiple courses and symposia on minimally invasive vein care, giving lectures on endovenous ablation, ambulatory phlebectomy, sclerotherapy, and venous ultrasound. He is an expert in vascular ultrasound and is certified by the ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) as an RV (Registered Vascular Technician). He served as a former director of the Cape Cod Healthcare Wound Center. A major portion of Dr Gorin’s practice is devoted to the care of patients with venous disease.

Lawrence M. Novak, MD, FACS

Lawrence Novak, MDDr Novak grew up and went to school in the greater Boston area.  He attended University of Massachusetts Medical School and performed his surgical training and research at the University of Vermont in Burlington. Although he worked in hospitals in and around Boston through the years, his time in Vermont gave him a feel for medicine outside of the big metropolis. As a very busy board certified surgeon focusing on general and vascular surgery, Dr Novak enjoys his vein practice immensely and working with patients who come to him. “Varicose veins are a medical problem like any other. Patients with varicose veins deserve the same respect and surgical attention as all patients.“ He has years of experience in Laser (EVLT) and Radiofrequency ablation (VNUS Closure), microphlebectomy and sclerotherapy. “There is no reason a patient with varicose veins should suffer – we have the technology and experience to help."
