Talk to a physician about non-surgical treatment

Did you know that doctors simply oversee most medical spas? Just because the facility uses a doctor's name, that doesn't necessarily mean a doctor will be performing your procedure. At Southeastern Vein Specialists, you can meet our doctors and nurse practitioners and ask them about our cosmetic procedures. They know about the risks associated with each procedure, but they can also offer advice about which options would be best for your face and desired results.

One of the biggest advantages of non-surgical options is the shortened recovery time. Many patients are able to resume normal activity the same day or within 24 hours. Injectables are useful for treating forehead lines, frown lines, crow's feet, volume loss in the cheeks, and areas around the mouth. Oral commissures and vertical lip lines can be smoothed, and lips can be given fullness with the right type of injectable. Cosmetic injectables are also popular for treating these types of wrinkles and folds.

Treatment of facial folds due to volume loss

There is medication made to replenish the volume in your face that’s lost as you age. Dermal fillers such as BELOTERO BALANCE, RADIESSE, Juvederm, Voluma, and Volbella can be used to fill in those folds and add volume to your face. Commonly treated areas include: eyes troughs, cheeks, between your nose and mouth (nasolabial folds), between your mouth and chin (marionette lines), and corners of your mouth (oral fissures).

Treat red spots and spider veins on the face

The VeinGogh™ Ohmic Thermolysis System is an FDA-approved treatment for spider veins and works best on face spots. It's especially useful for problem areas that have resisted other forms of treatment. It’s a quick procedure that can be used on any skin type, and results are visible after one or two visits. You can resume normal activities immediately after treatment.

Remove stubborn fat under the chin

People who have submental fullness (or an accumulation of fat under the chin) look heavier and older than they actually are. Even with diet and exercise, this particular collection of fat can stubbornly persist. Those who would prefer to avoid surgery should consider KYBELLA®.

KYBELLA® uses deoxycholic acid injections to destroy fat cells underneath the chin. Deoxycholic acid is a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown and absorption of dietary fat. Fat cleared from the treatment area is processed through your body’s natural metabolism. More than 1600 people worldwide have been treated with KYBELLA®, and it has been evaluated in more than 20 clinical studies.

Make an appointment to learn more

Ask one of our doctors about KYBELLA®. There will be questions about your medical history, particularly about any medical conditions that might affect your neck area. The doctor may ask whether you have had trouble swallowing or bleeding problems. There may also be questions about past cosmetic treatments and surgery on your face, neck, or chin.

Tell the doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or plan to become pregnant. It is not known if KYBELLA® will harm your unborn baby or how it may affect breast milk. Ask about the best way to feed your baby if you receive KYBELLA®. Learn more about KYBELLA® treatments.
